LIZZY FOWLKES

"HOUSE..."
This look was inspired by the original mission of the James Addams Hull House, to examine the benefits of shared innovative spaces and the rich history of tactile craftsmanship. Utilizing natural fibers and adjustable sizing, the look was made with community in mind. With oversized silhouettes and gender neutral design promoting the idea of shared garments that can be worked in. The top was pieced together using a Bojaji piecework technique, including over 50 pieces French-seamed together, nodding to the intricacies of craft. A look that furthers the concept that clothing does not have a single purpose or single owner.
